NEUROLINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING (PNL)

Actualizado: 12 dic 2021

What is Neurolinguistic Programming?

It originated in the 70s, John Grinder and Richard Bandler decide to carry out a study on communication based on neurology, linguistics and cognition. This science is based on identifying behavior patterns through a set of models, cognitive skills and techniques to modify such patterns through thinking to feel and act in an assertive and positive way in different situations and life environments. NLP works from the creation of models, it helps you become aware of verbal and non-verbal language, therefore it changes all communication patterns, breaks the deepest mental structures and limits, making long-term changes in the brain.

"Every man can be, if he wants to, a sculptor of his own brain"

Santiago Ramón y Cajal

Some NLP techniques

Learn to be in State (positive and conscious); self-assess what state we are in. the same person in different states achieves different results, the state can be changed (food, music, exercise, drugs ...)

Internal representations, what I see and how I interpret what I see. The interpretation of reality will have to do with experiences and education. These internal representations determine your states. What enters our brain will create a reality, nothing is thought that does not have a direct consequence in our life, therefore it is key to select vital conversations, being aware of what we think. Owning our energy and state means owning the inputs we receive.

The observed observer; I see myself observing and interpreting reality, so I can realize the internal representations that I am having.

Body physiology; the importance of posture, muscle tension and breathing. It is done by doing activities that generate the state I want to have (dancing, yoga, listening to music that generates the desired state, hugging, choosing the posture consciously, sleeping, being inspired by books, conversations, education ...).

Analyze my beliefs; What is not seen generates what is seen, the immaterial produces the material. The vital transformation comes from the change of beliefs. I write down the beliefs that I have on a certain topic and then I write down the beliefs that I could use to have on that particular topic. Finally, it is time to act to change those beliefs, "besiege the brain", feed ourselves with new and positive information that allows us to change these beliefs at a deep level. In this way I can generate new beliefs based on what I need in each moment of my life.

"People believe that happiness is a consequence of comfort, material and new stimuli, but the deep happiness that nourishes the soul and body, that allows to be grateful for every second and gift of life, that happiness is a consequence of personal development"

"Whatever happens I move on"

"In life there is only success or learning"

"If someone else has done it, I can do it if I'm willing to pay the price" Am I willing to pay it?

"If something has gone wrong in my life, the responsibility is mine"

"I only compete with myself"

The Rapport; It is a type of interaction based on coordination, mutual attention and mutual possibility.

To model; It is an accelerated learning technique, you choose a person who is having an extraordinary result in an area of life that you want to improve and you model that person, what he does, how he does it, why and why he does it, what beliefs and what values does it have. All these aspects are adapted to oneself to model from the inside out.

Eye access; Thought affects our body and our body affects our thinking. The direction in which the eyes move indicates the mode of access to information, the mode of searching for information that moves the person internally (illusion of alternative). When accessing mental images, the eyes go up, when a voice or sound is remembered, the eyes go to the left, while when we build a conversation the eyes go to the right. This neural pattern is the norm, it does not always have to be like that, taking into account the literalness of the brain. This indicator is one more that can help us to retrograde our brain.
