LINDEN PROPERTIES

Linden flowers have relaxing, anxiolytic, hypotensive, vasodilator, antispasmodic, diuretic properties, protect the mucosa, serve for migraine, increase sweat production and are expectorant, digestive and antiseptic. Therefore consuming an infusion of linden relaxes our central nervous system, helps treat high blood pressure, also acts as a muscle relaxant.

Linden is an infusion made with the flowers of some of the species of the genus Tilia, deciduous trees of the Malvaceae family.

Native to the northern hemisphere of Europe, these majestic trees, very common in our cities, are between 20 and 40 meters high. They have heart-shaped leaves, highly aromatic white or yellow flowers, and can live up to 900 years. Linden owes its anxiolytic, antispasmodic and sedative properties to its content of flavonoids (quercetin and kaempferol), alpha-pinene, limonene, nerol, eugenol, caffeic acid, mucilage and tannins, among other substances.
